More Amigurumi Teddy Bears

My Limemate, TC, is due to have her second little one very soon so the team decided to put together a baby basket for her since we weren’t able to celebrate in person together. After seeing she’d decorated the nursery in an outdoorsy/mountains type of theme, I knew exactly what to make - another set of my favorite teddy bears (Cross Your Heart Teddy by Anne Schuler of Crochet Between Worlds).

I’m sure you’re wondering why I decided to make two bears when there weren’t twins on the way. I think it’s important to acknowledge older siblings - especially in a situation where they are transitioning from being an only child to a older sibling. The older sister enjoys pink, so I made her bear have a hot pink shirt. I used blue for the new baby’s bear to match some of the colors from the pictures of the nursery that were shared with me.

As usual, these bears turned out as close to perfect as anything can get. My Limemate let me know her family was thrilled to receive them and that her daughter had started snuggling her bear at bedtime. This was another step in the right direction for me getting my love of crochet back - bringing joy to others through crochet brings me joy as well. <3
