Crochet Booty Bears
/I got to visit with some of my neighbor family when I went home earlier this year and decided I wanted to crochet something for some of the new additions that would be arriving soon. I tend to crochet bears and found the adorable Booty Bear pattern from PeachPenguinCrochet on Etsy. I knew the recipients would get a kick out of the little booties on the bears, so I bought the pattern and got to work.
This was my first time using a velvet yarn and it was a bit of an adjustment - particularly for the magic ring (which was a nightmare to get to pull tight without busting) and sewing the crack (I ended up using a matching worsted weight to actually pull tight and then covered it with a scrap of the velvet yarn - pretty annoying). Thankfully, the end results were absolutely adorable. I used less than 1 skein per bear and would definitely make these cuties again.
