Relief Wave Shrug/Cardigan Prototype v2
Back in 2024, I was inspired to create a shrug using the relief wave stitch I kept seeing all over social media. I started a 2nd prototype back in September 2024, but it ended up in hibernation in favor of other projects and then life turned upside down for a while. I finally pulled it back out in January 2026 with a determination to finish it (though it very nearly went into the naughty bin as I struggled through sleeve island) and I’m happy to say it’s finally complete!
This version turned into more of a long sleeve cardigan than a ¾ sleeve shrug, but I’m still pretty happy with it. I had originally intended to write up a pattern and maybe even film a YouTube tutorial, but now I’m not sure since it took me so long to finish this in the first place. Would anybody be interested in a pattern or tutorial for this? If so, let me know and I’ll consider putting it on my content to do list.
