Friendo Retreat 2022

Last weekend, one of our friends hosted a getaway at Suncadia. We all stayed in a lovely vacation rental home dubbed Fit for a King on the rental site. It was huge, well furnished, and situated in a relaxing nature space - it also had a garage that had been converted into a game room that was pretty neat. There really was no agenda so folks could relax as they pleased whether that meant working on a crochet project while chatting (okay - that was totally me) or playing board/video games. Jeff brought along most of our kitchen so he could do some cooking (yes, that includes the Kitchen Aid mixer with pasta roller attachment). He made biang biang noodles, dumpling wrappers (there was a whole dumpling assembly line that was way cool), pappardelle in a ragout, and various other items for the group.

I’d never been to a weekend away in a giant house with other folks before so this was quite a new experience for me - especially since I didn’t know most of the others attending. It turned out to be a pretty great little trip and we enjoyed ourselves. Looking forward to the next one!
