Holo Taco Pixel Perfect Collection

Holo Taco recently launched the Pixel Perfect collection - a set of seven pastel-ish chonky glitters. To be honest, I was not excited about it because I’m not much of a pastel person and I don’t really enjoy the experience of wearing chonky glitters most of the time (even though I typically do like the look). I ordered this collection anyway and spoiler alert: I really like it.

This collection includes:

  • CTRL Cutie - a pink jelly holo glitter polish with square pixel glitters

  • Byte My Peach - a peachy pink holo glitter polish with square pixel glitters

  • Coin Toss - a neutral gold (almost sandy) holo glitter polish with square pixel glitters

  • Bonus Life - a minty green holo glitter polish with square pixel glitters

  • 8-Bit Blues - an aqua blue holo glitter polish with square pixel glitters

  • Lo-Fi Lavender - a lavender holo glitter polish with square pixel glitters

  • Glitch & Glam - a bright purple holo glitter polish with square pixel glitters

While I like the look of these polishes as they are, one of the things I thought was really neat from the launch stream was discussion on using them as toppers. This inspired the mani I did for this collection: a two color gradient on each nail in a skittle topped with a corresponding chonky glitter. Sadly, topping made the gradient disappear (and anything you could actually see in real life picked up absolutely horribly on camera). I included a phone shot of the gradients before topping for reference. I still plan on playing around with these as toppers because I still like the idea.

As always, I’m also including a swatch comparison video:
