Attempted Table Bag Cat
I haven’t posted much about the cats in the last year, so I decided to post about something silly Cali did this week
10 years of Orange & Shiny
Today marks 10 years since my very first post on this blog. In the last 10 years I’ve made many crafts, painted a ton of nails, eaten a lot of great food, and went through a several year Stitch Fix review phase. One thing is certain - I still enjoy sharing things I find “shiny” on this blog.
Neat Ripple Blanket
Back when I first started crocheting, I could peruse Ravelry for hours looking at all the patterns for stuff I wanted to make. I came across the Neat Ripple pattern by Lucy of Attic 24 in 2014 and added it to my “things to make one day” list. In 2020 the pandemic arrived and turned the world upside down. Part of my way of coping was buying neat yarn (most of it mandala or cupcake) - the problem was that I bought the yarn without a plan for how to use it. After a ton of digging around on Ravelry (and referencing my “things to make one day” list), I realized the mandala/cupcake yarn was a perfect match for a blanket made of zigzags. This is where my first crochet blanket journey began.
More DIY Nail Vinyl Testing
After the relative success of my previous attempt at DIY mermaid/scale nail vinyls, I decided to see what else I could come up with. I iterated on my previous mermaid/scale attempt in addition to trying out 4 new designs with the main difference being the zoom level.
Birthday Eats 2022
Jeff really outdid himself with my birthday meal this year by making everything from scratch.
A Pineapple Pop Up Card
I’m still kind of obsessed with pop up cards, so of course I wanted to pick the perfect one to make and send to Dad for Father’s Day.
Monterey Trip 2022
Jeff and I flew down to Monterey for the long weekend to visit his brother and sister in law.
