Sarah Bakes: Peeps Shortbread Cookies
Jeff likes to make a baked good to take to work on Mondays since it helps him build his Instagram food picture portfolio (and probably also does some good for team morale). He was unavailable to make a baked good last Sunday, so I decided to make something for him instead. I was inspired by all the Easter candy that’s been floating around and decided to make some shortbread cookies shaped like Peeps bunnies.
Holo Taco One Coat Chrome Collection
Holo Taco put out a new collection in a chrome formula that I was super curious about since I had approximately one chrome polish (maybe from Revlon?) 10 - 15 years ago and I liked it. I ordered the collection and it finally showed up this week so I got to work experimenting with it (spoiler - it’s very different from my last encounter with chrome polish).
Empress Skirt
I have been so interested in the pattern (texture???) of Lalipopcrochet’s Empress skirt since the pattern came out last June. This pattern has slowly been making its way up my crochet queue since that time and I’m happy to say it finally made it to the top!
Spiral Floor Cushion
I like to sit on the floor next to the coffee table when I drink a hot beverage or eat, but sometimes it’s really uncomfortable to sit like that for an extended period of time. The boyfriend pillow that I took to college with me many moons ago worked as a floor cushion for a while, but I decided it was time for something new. I crocheted a spiral as a stash buster for some leftover mandala yarn that I didn’t know how else to use. Bonus: this cushion doubles as a cat bed (and by that I mean I crocheted this for myself, but my cats think I made it for them - shocker).
Holo Taco Holo Barista Bundle
Holo Taco introduced a new set of coffee themed polishes last week in what Cristine described as a “chill launch” on a Wednesday morning that didn’t include a collection box or a launch stream. The Holo Barista bundle I ordered arrived approximately a week later (which is super quick) and the polishes are just as neat as I thought they would be.
Crochet Placemats
We always host “Jeffsgiving” and it’s the one time of the year that I like to dress up the table. I’ve grown a bit tired of the gold and brown rectangle placemats we use every year so I decided to look into crocheting something new.
Tapestry Crochet
I recently discovered tapestry crochet thanks to a few cute Miyazaki patterns from Ty_Balie that I saw on Instagram.
