Cute Crochet Tank Top
I was recently introduced to TCDDIY thanks to Youtube’s recommendations. She makes a ton of modern crochet clothing out of category 4 yarn. I have oodles of this type of yarn, so I chose her cute crochet tank top tutorial to use as a stash buster.
Jeff Makes Stuff: Mixed Berry Layer Cake
Jeff has been practicing his cake skills lately and made two versions of a mixed berry layer cake with swiss meringue buttercream over the course of a few weeks.
Racerback Dress Prototype
There has been a lack of crochet posts on this blog since April because I’ve been working on a dress prototype. It was inspired by a comfy looking racerback dress I saw on Instagram. I decided to make the straps and waist a bit more interesting by using a puff-V stitch, but kept the rest of the dress single crochet so it wouldn’t be too holey.
Holo Taco Vacation Collection
I’m going to be honest - I’m getting a little release fatigue at the pace Holo Taco is bringing out new items. Is anybody forcing me to buy them? Absolutely not. Do I have ten fingernails and a decent case of FOMO at pretty much every release anyway? Yes. Based on this, it shouldn’t be surprising I was getting pretty antsy for the Vacation Collection to finally arrive on my doorstep.
Sarah Bakes: Banana Whoopie Pies
I pull most of my baking inspiration from things I see on Instagram. Trader Joe’s recently posted a banana recipe contest and the grand prize winner was a banana whoopie pie recipe by Louise Nielsen.
Sarah Bakes: Confetti Cookies
As previously stated in my Peeps shortbread cookies post, Jeff likes to make a baked good to take into work on Mondays. He was unavailable to make a baked good this week so I decided to practice my almost never used baking skills again. This time I was inspired by the confetti cookies that recently showed up at Costco’s bakery - they don’t appear to be the prettiest cookies in the world, but I bet they taste pretty great just like most other Costco baked goods.
