Amigurumi Cubs Teddy Bears
This week's project might have you thinking you're seeing double, but you're not. Our Chicago friends announced they are having twins and I felt the only appropriate baby gift was a pair of teddy bears. They're also Cubs fans, so of course the bears are outfitted with Cubs t-shirts to celebrate their big win this year. I chose to use the same Cross Your Heart teddy bear pattern by Anne Schuler that I used for my Illini teddy bear earlier this year and I still love it for how easy it is to put together.
Stitch Fix #10 - November 2016
Welcome to Stitch Fix #10! This month I asked my stylist, Melissa, for clothes to wear to my casual office since I recently started a new job. I realized Melissa has been doing such a great job with "suprise me" fixes that I told her to do another since the things she'd sent in the past made sense for my office as well. Here are her picks for me this month:
Mary Maxim Snowman
Mom bought a whole Mary Maxim snowman family for me to crochet for her last year. I took my sweet time getting around to working on them and now I'm down to crunch time to get it done in time for her to put out for the holidays this year. I finished up the first snowman yesterday and figured I'd share him.
Etsy Shop Now Open
Just popping in to give a quick update to say Orange and Shiny's Etsy shop is officially open! You can find it here (I'll be adding an Etsy link to the social areas on this site very soon).
Crochet Christmas Minion!
Now that Halloween's over, I'm jumping straight into holiday posts. I'm a firm believer in keeping all things Christmas (decor, music, etc) on hold until after Thanksgiving, but I had to share this Christmas Minion based on a pattern by Stephanie Jessica Lau of All About Ami. I finished him up this week and sent him off to be donated to the St. B. School (the school I attended for 1 - 8 grades) Silent Auction that will be held next weekend.
Happy Halloween 2016!
Happy Halloween! I'm here to share the results of my annual pumpkin carving party as well as some Halloween nail art. Read on to see more!
Stitch Fix #9 - October 2016
Happy October! I scheduled my Fix a little earlier this month so I'd have time to actually blog about it in the month I receive it (next weekend's post is reserved for all things Halloween, obviously). I didn't have anything specific in mind for this fix, so I once again asked Melissa to surprise me. She did a fantastic job, as usual, especially since I have been doing a terrible job of keeping my Pinterest board up to date. I'm also excited that my friend RN of WhiskyWoof recently decided to give Stitch Fix a try (check out her post about it here). She even used my referral link, so shout out to her for technically helping out with the cost of this month's fix! :D
