Stitch Fix #31 - September 2019
As I’ve said in the past, I’ve cut back on Stitch Fixes because I just don’t need much right now. That doesn’t mean I’ve stopped enjoying them, though! For this fix, I asked stylist Sarah for pieces to transition to fall (aka layering pieces). Read on to see what she sent!
Donkicorn!
Apparently my crochet life has a unicorn theme going on - but this time it’s with a twist. My most recent creation is a donkey unicorn aka donkicorn. It’s kind of a joke for my team at work since we’re currently evaluating wants and needs for a tool that needs to be replaced. That project somehow acquired the code name Project Data Donkey and that morphed into donkicorn. Me being me, I decided we needed an actual donkicorn and got straight to work looking for a pattern on Ravelry to work one up.
A Unicorn for Paisley
Last Thanksgiving-ish my best friend from home asked for a crocheted unicorn for her daughter, Paisley. I had big plans of finding a cute pattern that I could work up quickly in order to get it shipped off to her for Christmas. Unfortunately, work/life/laziness got in the way. Random pieces of unicorn ended up sitting in a bin from just before Christmas up until I returned from our Maui trip and was feeling crafty again. Read on to see the finished product!
Chevron Friendship Bracelet
While in Maui, I saw a ton of people wearing friendship bracelets as anklets - a thing I used to do every summer as a kid/teenager. Needless to say, seeing these bracelets/anklets in Maui stirred up enough memories that I felt the need to get crafting.
Maui Trip 2019
Jeff and I took a trip back to Maui for our 5 year wedding anniversary and did a much better job of eating all the things than we did the first time we went to Maui for our honeymoon.
Stitch Fix #30 - June 2019
Here we are at fix #30! It’s hard to believe that I’ve been using this service since February 2016. My closet has changed so much in the last 3 years - definitely for the better! It also keeps me motivated to keep calm and keto on instead of falling off the wagon (I always say it’s time to stop the carb binge when my pants start getting tight - I’m not sure if that’s “moderation” or what haha).
I scheduled an early birthday fix as a gift to myself - and wow did stylist Sarah knock it out of the park! Read on to see the pretties she sent me.
Sneakerhead Limey!
It’s no secret that my Limemates are my work family - they are seriously the best. That’s why I’m always so sad when they move on to other opportunities. Last week I lost one of my biggest supporters/encouragers, RW, to grad school, so I decided to channel the sadness into something positive - a Limey.
