A Unicorn for Paisley

Last Thanksgiving-ish my best friend from home asked for a crocheted unicorn for her daughter, Paisley. I had big plans of finding a cute pattern that I could work up quickly in order to get it shipped off to her for Christmas. Unfortunately, work/life/laziness got in the way. Random pieces of unicorn ended up sitting in a bin from just before Christmas up until I returned from our Maui trip and was feeling crafty again. Read on to see the finished product!

There were several patterns that I considered when searching Ravelry for unicorns, but the winner ended up being the free Jazzy the Unicorn pattern by Jess Huff since it was super cute and a good size. I made a few changes to the pattern color wise since my friend requested pink hooves and a gold sparkle horn in addition to curly hair, but otherwise the finished product is pretty true to the pattern. It was easy to follow and didn’t take forever to sew together (which is always a plus in my book).

I’m really happy with how Jazzy turned out. I hope Paisley loves her (and that she doesn’t get too dirty - I’m in my 30s and still can’t keep white things clean…). If you need a cute unicorn pattern, give this one a look! You can find the link to my Ravelry project here - happy crafting!
