Stitch Fix #17 - June 2017

So, today is the first day of July. I'm not sure how that happened or where June went, but that means it's time for another Stitch Fix review! I gave Melissa the usual "surprise me" instructions. Let's see what she sent!

41HAWTHORN Carsyn Contrast Hem Blouse - Returned

I love the colors on this top and the neat detail at the top of the shoulders. There was a strange seam up the side and it just didn't fit me quite right around the middle. Unfortunately, this had to go back.

SKIES ARE BLUE Keika Cutout Neckline Blouse - Returned

I really wanted to like this top since the triangle detail at the top is neat and it fits me nicely around the middle. Unfortunately, it fits strangely in the shoulders and it's too much red for me. This also had to be returned.

HONEY PUNCH Luana Open Back Knit Top - Kept

This looks like a pretty plain layered top from the front, but it's not! It has a neat cut out in the back that shows off the tank top underneath. It fits me well and is a great color/pattern that will go with many things. This was an easy keep for me.

KUT FROM THE KLOTH Lela Released Hem Skinny Pant - Returned

These are a lovely pair of white cropped pants with an undone edge. I like the way these look on me and fit, but I'm way too messy to own a pair of white pants. Back they went.

SKIES ARE BLUE Danila 2fer Maxi Dress - Kept

I was fully prepared to dislike this dress due to my hatred of the color red but the pattern on top is actually really cute! This fits well and is really comfortable. I thought hard about whether or not to keep this, but looking at these pictures convinced me it is enough of a red/orange color to be acceptable since I really like it otherwise. I'm happy to say this was added to my closet!

Final thoughts on this fix

Melissa sent a ton of cute things as usual. I felt incredibly picky this month between fit issues, my hatred of red, and my inability to keep light colored clothing items food stain free because I'm a messy eater. I also realized that with the exception of warmer weather clothes, my closet is finally starting to look well stocked (thanks to Melissa and Stitch Fix, of course) so I need to be a bit more picky about what I keep so my closet doesn't overflow... a thing I never thought would happen! Who knew letting someone else send you mystery clothing in the mail could be so fun and so much better than shopping for yourself?
